Microsoft Xbox One policies

Microsoft has confirmed some changes to the Xbox One policies, specifically the 24-hour check-in and used games policies.

The Xbox One will no longer need to check-in online every 24hrs, the system will only require a one-time connection to setup a new Xbox One. Gamers are free to play any disc-based game without going online again, unless you plan to play some online game of cause.

Now the used games policy has taken a change for the better, there will be no limitations to using and sharing games. Plus you can also trade in your games without all the hassle. Basically, it’s the same policy as in place on the Xbox 360.

Microsoft has also lifted plans to region-lock games, so there will be no regional restrictions in place on Xbox One games.

I have to say, this was a really smart move to backtrack on these policies. There was a lot of talk about people not happy with the new policies they had in place.
At lease they finally listened to the feedback and removed these stupid policies.

When the PlayStation 4 was announce and there was not such policies in place on their new console and the amount of good reaction it had, I had a feeling it was only a matter of time before Microsoft did a reversal on their new policies.

Instagram videos

Instagram brings 15-second videos to the social network.

Instagram users can now record 15 seconds of clip-by-clip videos that can be shared on your profile.

You just swipe your fingers across the Instagram app to go from photo to video capturing. There is also 13 new custom filters designed for its 15 seconds clips.

Now you might be thinking, this sounds like vine, well in some ways it is like it, you can share clips on social media with both apps but with Instagram video it has better features like the ability to trash the last segment of your video if you make a mistake and also allow you to choose a custom cover frame.

Now if you’re a iOS app user, then you can also take advantage of Cinema which is a video stabilization feature, which helps remove shaky footage.

Instagram has said this anti-shaky camera feature will work its way to Android devices later on.
